I feel beautiful when I feel confident, strong and able to take on anything. Growing up, my body went through many emotional and psychical changes, it was easy to forget my own beauty along the way.

But I found my way back to real beauty and I’m ready to share all the secrets with you. The biggest secret? You already have everything you need!

Embrace your difference

I used to be embarrassed of my freckles, as none of my friends had them. As I got older, I realised that people’s unique features are what make them beautiful.

I can’t change what I look like - I can’t make myself taller or change my eye colour. But I don’t need to. Everyone is different and difference is beauty!

Only YOU can define beauty

Magazines and the internet show a very narrow idea of beauty. Instead of looking there, look around you for real beauty. Look in the mirror or at the people around you. It’s not perfect skin or teeth that make people beautiful - it’s how funny they are or what a great friend they are that makes them stand out!

Ask other people

It’s so easy to forget what makes us beautiful. Sometimes you have to ask someone else to remind you. I asked my friends what they think is beautiful about me, and they said my cheeky smile, how loud my laugh is and how I give the warmest hugs.

Put your insides first

A new face-cream or make-up isn’t the secret to beauty. Real beauty starts from giving your body real love. Just like what flowers need to bloom - your body needs the right amount of water, sunlight, and nutrients. Eat what makes you feel good and stay hydrated - your glow will follow!

Sweat it out

I feel the most beautiful after a big run - even though my face has gone red and I’m covered in sweat. I feel so strong and healthy. Doing exercise fills your body with happy hormones and helps you feel beautiful on the inside and better on the outside too. Find a sport or exercise that makes you feel strong!
